The council looks after the quality of life of your community. Elected officials make their decisions in the interest of citizens.
The Council acts as the town's representative and administers the affairs. In fact, it is the supreme authority of the municipality. The council is made up of the mayor and 6 councilors and is elected for a four-year term.

Mayor
Mr. Pearce has been Mayor of Gore since 2005. He is deeply involved in his community. Always available to citizens, he devotes many hours a month to community activities and meetings with citizens. He is also a member of several municipal and regional committees and organizations:
- Representative of bilingual municipalities of the Fédération Québécoise des Municipalités (FQM)
- Chairman of the FQM Permanent Committee on Agriculture, Land Use Planning and Environment
- Member of the board of directors at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), Vice-Chair of the Quebec Caucus,
- Vice-President of the FCM Rural Forum
- Warden of the MRC D'Argenteuil

Mr. Giroux, a resident of the Domaine Lakefield sector, has been a councilor in Gore since 2013. Since the Mayor of Gore, Mr. Pearce, is the warden of the MRC D'Argenteuil, Mr. Giroux sits on the council of mayors of the MRC d'Argenteuil as the Gore representative.

Mrs. Roy has been a resident of Gore for many years and is greatly involved in seniors' activities in our community. She is a co-author of Gore's Family and Seniors Policy. She organizes several activities during the year to raise funds for seniors.

Mrs. Korosec has been a councilor since 2013 and is involved in several projects, notably in the organization of the Environment Day, the Summer Festival and the Winter Carnaval. Always there to help and volunteer, she contributes greatly to the community spirit.

Mr. Marandola, in addition to being a volunteer firefighter, is involved in the Argenteuil Support Center to help the poor. He is also involved in several community projects.
